  1. Awesome fly. I tie almost an identical pattern but use a pink hotspot, light hares ear abdomen and dark hares ear thorax. Killer pattern, I love tying on those jig hooks, they make great anchor flies when Czech nymphing.

  2. Thanks, Bart. Pink is definitely one of the best hotspots all year round. I tie the hot spot with yellow, orange, bright green and purple as well, but find the red and pink to work the best for whatever reason. Of course, different colors work better in certain situations. In water with lots of cased caddis, a bright green hotspot is hard to beat.
