I will say it was caught on the size 18 trailed behind a size 12 BH Prince. Drifted it under a large log in only about 12" of water. When I went to swing it out the fish was on! The only difference is I tied mine with a tiny pinch of peacock ice dub behind the bead. Thanks for the pattern and saving my day. Sorry, no pictures of this one but I’ll try to remember next time. If it ends up being to bulky for you try cutting some of the spikey guard hairs from the mask and touch dubbing them on to the thread. The other option is SLF squirrel dubbing which is my favorite for the thorax on my czech nymphs.
